Our People

Angela Maseyk, Centre Manager

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a mum of three adult daughters and I’ve wanted to be a teacher since I was just 4 years old! I’ve been teaching full-time for 29 years now, the last 17 years of which have been at this centre.

What do you love most about what you do?

The smiles and laughter. I also love storytelling with the children and conversations... I have lots of conversations with children!

What is your favourite time of the year at the centre?

I love autumn as it is such an exciting time in nature with bugs and insects and the colour of the trees. Thanks to our nature based programme, this is something we get maximum enjoyment of.

What do you think are the three most important things to look for in an early childhood centre?

The most important thing is to watch how the children are interacting with the teachers and vice versa. Relationships are the most important part of ECE.
