Family Disco
Every year in term 3, Active Explorers Hokitika hosts a family disco, providing a perfect occasion for whanau and staff to get to know each other in a relaxed setting.
This year's event, held on September 27, was a resounding success. Families came along armed with fish and chips, and their dancing shoes. There was also a strong community focus, as children were invited to dress up and make a donation to a local charity. This year's charity of choice was St John Hokitika.
"We were delighted to be able to support the great work they do in our community," says centre manager Stacey Brock.
