ANZAC Day at Active Explorers Mana

On Tuesday 24th of April, we held a special ANZAC ceremony in our playground. The children and teachers created a garden of remembrance where each room created and decorated a wreath to be laid. We had some special visitors who were part of our ceremony. Harris told the story of his great great grandfather who went to Gallipoli, and Bob came to play the last post for us. The children all did so well and were very respectful and even managed a minute silence easily. We ended the ceremony singing the National Anthem in both Te Reo and English. A huge thank you to all of the parents that came to be part of our special ceremony too! What a beautiful morning of remembrance... Lest We Forget.
