Active Explorers Blockhouse Bay has Special guests for Matariki
It was a very special occasion for Active Explorers Blockhouse Bay, when the ‘Kapa haka team’ from Glenavon school came and performed the Maori Waiata and ‘Haka’ for our Tamariki to be part of our Matariki celebrations. We have built a great relationship with our local school to support our children to have learning experiences by connecting with the wider community.
Our Tamariki performed two Waiata and presented a Koha for the Glenavon Team for sharing their singing and Te Reo skills with us. It was a very special day for the Tamariki and Kaiako at Active Explorers Blockhouse Bay and a special way to celebrate Matariki with these mutual performances
